Immersive Hack isn’t just about technology. It’s also about storytelling, design, creation, and problem-solving. If you have an interest in art, graphics, 3D modelling, film, education, sound design, game design, or business, the Immersive Hack will be an event you’ll enjoy.

Judging Criteria

  • Working prototype
To be considered for judging, a team must be able to demo a working VR/AR prototype or a proof of concept.
  • Creativity
Most creative, out of the box application of VR that pushes the envelope wins! Is it fun to play? Does it make you smile and oh and ah...?
  • User experience
Your prototype must also be usable. How do the controller and the UI looks and feels? How would your user interact with your VR app? How intuitive do the interface and interaction works? Can a user play with no instructions?
  • Execution
A good idea with poor execution will get thumbs down from users. We won't expect a flawless performance, but we need to see some love & effort put into how well you deliver and execute your idea; how it looks, sounds and plays.
  • Commercial viability
Would there be a commercial possibility (and interest) to develop the idea further?
